Impact

G e n e r a t e d

Our strategic objectives are threefold and closely interconnected:

  • Environmental and Cultural Valorization
  • Social Valorization
  • Economic Sustainability

Environmental and cultural valorization will be achieved through reclaiming the area’s agricultural identity by restoring the terraced landscapes within the Selvetto estate (approximately 2 hectares).

This valorization process includes creating employment integration pathways for individuals with psychological and cognitive disabilities. Thus, environmental stewardship becomes a foundation for nurturing professional and human dimensions, transcending disability, and fostering an inclusive lifestyle model.

A portion of these lands is allocated for vegetable cultivation, and a segment of the terraced lands has already seen the planting of olive groves. This will be complemented by intensive efforts to preserve the precious lean meadows within the estate. We will also foster synergies between anthropized areas and the surrounding forest, adopting an agroecological approach.

In tandem with these agricultural endeavors, a catering operation will be established on the ground floor of the existing building. Additionally, a section of the land will be designated for the introduction of horses and other animals. Beyond their crucial role in naturally restoring the fertility of agricultural lands, these animals will be involved in social, educational, tourism, and rehabilitation activities.

This initiative will serve as a welcoming space for visitors of the Monte Barro Regional Park, its trails, cliffs, and historically, culturally, and naturalistically significant sites.

It will also be a venue to showcase quality local produce, in close collaboration with local farms.

This space will further host educational and training programs open to the community – in partnership with the Park authority and the Social Cooperative Eliante (long active in environmental education) – aimed at promoting agro-ecological thinking, practices of regenerative agriculture, and discussions on the unique features of the Monte Barro Regional Park.
