Olive Trees and Mycorrhizae, a Winning Combination!

Last Saturday, we gathered the strength of our volunteers to plant our first 69 olive trees.

We selected 3 varieties that would enhance tradition and the local territory: Leccino, Frantoio, and Pendolino.

These varieties are also recognized by the D.O.P. Laghi Lombardi – Lario Consortium.

We prepared holes in the ground with organic fertilizer to welcome our olive plants.

Afterwards, the seedlings were inoculated with mycorrhizal fungi. These fungi form a symbiosis with the roots, promoting their growth and facilitating the absorption of water and nutrients in a natural way.

Mycorrhizae are a successful example of cooperation in nature, a great source of inspiration in our daily actions.
